Location: St, Patrick’s Church, Main Street, Banagher, Co Offaly
About: The Banagher St Patrick’s Day Parade takes place annually on March 17th, kicking off in the afternoon. It is a massive local community event along the Main Street in Banagher featuring bands, floats, street entertainment and family activities. It will be kicking off at 3 pm. The procession was led by Offaly Search & Rescue. The Local Band Rise n Shine performed on stage from 2.00 pm and the St. Rynagh’s Girl Guides sold cookies at the Banagher Town Library. The 2026 parade “John Dolan and Concepta the goose”. The overall parade winner was Ger Hough from JJ Hough’s Singing Pub, who brilliantly portrayed St Patrick driving the snakes out of town. The award prizes were awarded across numerous categories, including best float, best vintage car and tractor, best window display and best-dressed spectator & pet.
