Meet Hazel Greene, Create Green Champion of the Create Green Programme. Hazel Greene is an award-winning visual artist based in Birr, County Offaly. She is a painter who creates silk scarves, a visual artist and fashion textile designer working with colour, texture, and the timeless beauty of silk. Silk is Hazel’s canvas of choice for its softness, vibrancy, and natural elegance. Hazel’s scarves begin with an original painting. She paints the Irish landscape and the women of Irish folklore. These scenes and stories are then woven through her designs, making each silk scarf a unique gift that carries both beauty and meaning.
