About the BHC Project

The Building Healthy Communities (BHC) project has been delivered in communities in Offaly since 2004. Using a population health approach, the project promotes community development and an interagency method to develop actions that ultimately enhance the health and well-being of targeted communities.

Targeted communities are supported to prepare action plans around key determinants of health, which are then implemented with the support of BHC agencies and other actors.
