About the Centre

The Birr Theatre and Arts Centre is a stunning purpose-built Victorian theatre which dates back to 1888. It provides a high quality facility and a base for the year-round development of the Arts in Birr and environs.

The theatre was re-energised and brought up to current day 220-seater compliance in the late nineties by a board of volunteers and the Birr Stage Guild, while meticulously maintaining the classic architecture of the theatre.
