Create Green programme to support Offaly food and creative businesses

Offaly businesses in the food and creative sectors are being invited to take part in Create Green, a new practical programme designed to help local enterprises develop their ideas, strengthen their businesses and identify new opportunities for sustainable growth.

Led by Eddie Shanahan and supported by OLDC, Create Green is designed to help businesses turn ideas into commercially viable products and services, develop their markets and explore opportunities for future growth.

The programme is open to both emerging entrepreneurs with an idea to explore and existing businesses looking to develop a new product, service or market opportunity.

For food producers, the programme offers an opportunity to develop new products, strengthen their brand and explore new markets. Whether working in artisan or speciality food, producers can benefit from practical guidance and support tailored to the challenges and opportunities facing small local businesses.

Create Green also welcomes businesses and entrepreneurs working across the creative sector, including design, craft, fashion, visual arts, digital, media and other creative fields. Participants will have the opportunity to develop new ideas, strengthen their brand and explore ways to build a more sustainable and commercially successful business.

The programme will focus on:

  • Developing new product, service and business ideas
  • Business and market development
  • Strengthening brands and developing new offers
  • Expert guidance from Eddie Shanahan
  • Practical sustainability support
  • Identifying opportunities for future growth
  • Connecting with other local food and creative businesses

Create Green is intended to provide a practical, supportive environment where local businesses can explore ideas, gain expert insight and build connections with others in the Offaly business community.

The programme commences on 7 October at Fiesta Hall, Kilcormac, Co. Offaly.

Businesses and entrepreneurs in the food and creative sectors who are interested in taking their ideas or existing businesses to the next level are encouraged to get in touch with OLDC to find out more and register their interest.
